This is a moderated list for news and announcements of interest to the Saskatoon swing dance community. Everyone is welcome to subscribe. In addition to regular updates from Toon Town Swing, organizers of other dance and music events are encouraged to submit items.
To help identify messages from the list, the subject line will contain "[swing-announce]".
If you'd like to discuss swing dancing, events and news, check the Saskatchewan forum on www.lindyhopper.ca instead.
To subscribe, send a blank e-mail to: swing-announce-subscribe@lists.toontownswing.com from your preferred e-mail address.
The mailing list software will send a request to confirm your address (this may take a couple of hours depending on how busy our server and your ISP's server are). Reply to this confirmation to complete the subscription process. This ensures no one will subscribe you without authorization. If you have problems, you can contact the list owner using the instructions below.
To unsubscribe, start by sending e-mail to: swing-announce-unsubscribe@lists.toontownswing.com. Just like subscribing, a confirmation request will be sent by the mailing list software. Reply to the confirmation to be removed from the list.
If you are organizing an event which features swing dancing or music for swing dancers, please feel free to submit event details including; date, time, description, location, cost and contact information. Please send messages in text format (not HTML) for the convenience of our readers. Attachments are automatically removed by the mailing list software so you'll need to post graphics and files to a web site and provide a link in the message.
Send your message via e-mail to swing-announce@lists.toontownswing.com. A moderator will review it to determine if it is suitable for the list. If approved, the message will be sent to subscribers. If not accepted, you will be notified at the address the message is from. Our moderators only check mail periodically, normally messages should be reviewed within a day or two. If our moderators are away, it may take a week or more.
We can not edit or retract messages so please proof-read before submitting. The e-mail "From:" address will appear in the messsage sent to our readers, make sure your preferred contact e-mail is used.
The list is automated and self service. If you need assistance from a real person, e-mail the list owner: swing-announce-owner@lists.toontownswing.com and someone will help you. A response may take a few days.
