Our Mission

Toon Town Swing is dedicated to promoting swing and authentic jazz dance and the swing and blues music that goes with it in and around Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Instruction

Toon Town Swing hosts regular dance lessons, workshops, practice sessions and other dance events. We also teach private individual and group lessons.

Our focus is quality, fun, relaxed social dance instruction with small class sizes and the best possible learning environment. Learning to dance should be fun and easy, we keep our classes fairly fast paced, focusing on the essentials to help you dance any move. Our teaching philosophy is that swing dancing is not about learning a thousand different moves but learning a few basic moves and the tools to let the music inspire a million different variations.

Dance Styles

Our partner dance styles are some of the most fun and entertaining: Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Charleston, Carolina Shag, Collegiate Shag, Balboa, Blues, Boogie Woogie and more!

Music

Swing dancing started with the hot jazz of the 1920's. As the music shifted to swing, the dance followed. As music trends changed, swing dancing continued to change with it. We believe the music is more than just a beat, to dance to, it is the most important part of swing dancing ... well besides your partner. All of our events and classes include music authentic to the dance style.
